Join the Sydney Premiere of Elgar’s The Kingdom

We invite sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses to take part in a special choral project, the Sydney premiere of Edward Elgar’s The Kingdom.

The performance will be conducted by Luke Spicer, with choral rehearsals led by internationally acclaimed opera singers Peter Coleman-Wright AO and Cheryl Barker AO, and presented in the historic Great Hall at the University of Sydney, alongside the Sydney University Symphony Orchestra. This is a rare opportunity to perform a major choral work in one of Sydney’s most iconic venues.

Who Can Join

We welcome singers of all voice types, soprano, alto, tenor, and bass.

Due to the condensed rehearsal period, we ask that chorus members are confident preparing their parts independently and are comfortable joining rehearsals with a good level of familiarity with the score. Rehearsal time will focus on ensemble work rather than extensive note learning.
